Inflammation&quot;. The keynote presenter for this meeting was Dr. Gordon
B. Mills who is the Chairman in the Department of Systems Biology at
the University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston,
Texas.

As a part of the meeting, multiple presentations were given by
individual scientists from each of the seven centers.

Also, as a part of the meeting, there was a poster session where
scientists were able to meet and discuss the work being done at the
individual centers. The best posters were given a certificate of
award and are listed below (in no particular order).

<description>The investigator team led by Dr. John Yates III at Scripps (TSRI), Dr.
Rolf Apweiler/Henning Hermjakob at the European Bioinformatics
Institute (EBI/EMBL), Drs. Uhlen/Odeberg at Royal Institute of
Technology in Sweden (KTH), and Dr. Peipei Ping at UCLA have worked
successfully together, launching the COPa Knowledgebase and the COPa
Client portal to this knowledgebase during the AHA/BCVS conference in
July 2011. This resource integrates multi-disciplinary proteomic
datasets in the context of cardiovascular biology and medicine; it
leverages state-of-the-art international resources supported by the
UniProt project at EBI/EMBL, by the HPA, the world renowned Human
Protein Atlas hosted at KTH, and by Census, an effective method for
protein quantification in biological systems developed by TSRI. COPaKB
aims to foster innovative research in cardiovascular biology medicine.
